Whiplash reforms programme
'Whiplash reforms' is a commonly-used label for the package of measures introduced by the Government to dis-incentivise minor, exaggerated and fraudulent soft-tissue injury claims arising from road traffic accidents. The reforms aim to reduce insurance costs for ordinary motorists by tackling the continuing high number and cost of whiplash claims.
To support these legislative changes a new service for small personal injury claims is being developed. In preparation, regular programme updates will focus on helping professionals prepare.
